Epithelioma Adenoides Cysticum

چکیده
mann (Ewing, 1928) contends that since all epithelial tumours arise from the basal cells the term basal-cell carcinoma was not quite suitable. But Krompecher's choice of term may be justified on the ground that basal-cell epithelioma is composed of basal cells which retain their morphological characters throughout their existence, in contrast to the squamous-cell carcinoma in which the basal cells are further differentiated and lose their original characters. Epithelial tumours of the skin showing a tendency to reproduce the structure of dermal glands are designated as adenoid epithelioma. These tumours may show cystic spaces and are then known as epithelioma adenoides cysticum. We have come across three cases of this type which

Ultrastructure and molecular phylogenetic position of a new marine sand-dwelling dinoflagellate from British Columbia, Canada: Pseudadenoides polypyrenoides sp. nov. (Dinophyceae)
Two monospecific genera of marine benthic dinoflagellates, Adenoides and Pseudadenoides, have unusual thecal tabulation patterns (lack of cingular plates in the former; and no precingular plates and a complete posterior intercalary plate series in the latter) and are thus difficult to place within a phylogenetic framework. Although both genera share morphological similarities, they have not for...
متن کاملImmunohistochemical characterization of sebaceous epithelioma in two dogs
This report describes two cases of sebaceous epithelioma and its immunohistochemical characterization with CK 14, CK18, p63, Ki67 and Bcl-2 immunostaining. Case 1 was a 12-year-old, intact English Cocker spaniel female presenting with multiple skin nodules over one year. Case 2 was a 7-year-old, spayed poodle female with a five-month history of solitary mass. Hematoxylin and eosin (H&E) stainin...
متن کاملA Rare Case of Pilomatrixoma (Calcifying Epithelioma of Malherbe) of Parotid Space Masquerading as Salivary Gland Tumor
Dear Editor-in-Chief Pilomatrixoma is a benign tumor of hair follicle first described as calcifying epithelium (1). It accounts for 1% of all the benign skin tumors (2). It is a slow-growing, firm, dermal or subcutaneous neoplasm, usually measuring fewer than 3 cm in diameter. Pilomatricomas are considered benign; rarely recur after surgical excisi...
متن کاملTrypanorhynch Cestodes of Commercial Fishes from Northeast Brazilian Coastal Waters
A large scale investigation on trypanorhynch cestode infestation of tropical marine fishes was carried out along the Northeast Brazilian coast in the summer of 1991 and 1993. A total of 798 fish specimens belonging to 57 species and 30 families were examined. Metacestodes of 11 different trypanorhynchs were found: Callitetrarhynchus gracilis, Dasyrhynchus giganteus, Grillotia sp., Nybelinia edw...
متن کاملMetastasis of a Basal-cell Epithelioma Report
The title “Metastasis of a Basal-cell Epithelioma” might be considered a “ contradiction in terms,” as absence of metastasis is generally considered one of the cardinal characteristics of basal-cell epithelioma. Sutton (1) defines basal-cell epithelioma as “ a comparatively benign variety of carcinoma of the skin which probably develops from the basal layer of the epidermis or from the skin gla...
